First Impression on Wedding Invitations

It's all about first impressions! Your family & friends and wedding guests to be will all open your invitation and picture the upcoming event. Just like a book cover, an invitation can set a precedent to what type of event you are holding! Is it minimalistic and classy? Southern and sophisticated? Beachy and Breezy?

Here are some simple tips and tricks to creating the perfect "cover" to your wedding!

  1. Starting with the stamps! Chose a stamp that fits the theme of your wedding! You can have a little fun here! For example, my wedding was located in the Fort Worth Stockyards and I went with a cowboy boot forever stamp! Pay close attention to your weight and how many stamps you need!

  2. Envelope Liner! Such an easy and fun way to add a bit of charm to your invitations! I like to go with patterns here to allude to the theme of the event! Another fun option is a watercolored illustration of the venue - pictured below!

    3. Your invitations can coincide with the tone of your event! If you are having a very traditional wedding then consider including a paper RSVP, details card, and invitation. If you are going more modern feel free to just do an invitation and direct everyone to your wedding website!

    4. Hiring a designer to create your wedding invitations is a worthwhile investment that ensures your special day starts with a memorable first impression. A professional designer can craft invitations that perfectly reflect your unique love story, style, and wedding theme, providing a personalized touch that standard templates can’t match. From selecting the right color palette and typography to incorporating custom illustrations or embellishments, a designer ensures every detail aligns with your vision. Additionally, their expertise saves you time and reduces stress, handling everything from layout and design to ensuring the final product is print-ready. Your wedding invitations set the tone for your celebration, and having them professionally designed transforms them into cherished keepsakes for you and your guests.
