Celebrating your little one’s first trip around the sun calls for something special—and what’s more delightful than a "One Silly Goose" theme? This playful, pun-filled party idea is perfect for a first birthday, blending adorable decor, whimsical activities, and lots of fun for kids and adults alike.
Here’s everything you need to create a memorable "One Silly Goose" bash:
1. The Invitations

2. Decorations
Lean into a color palette of soft pinks, creams, with touches of orange for a goose’s beak and feet. Decor ideas include:
Balloons: A mix of pink pastels and a cream ONE balloon banner for photo op's.
Banners: Add a special one banner to little one's highchair for an extra pop in cake smash photos! For a little DYI, cut out pink, white and orange dots of colored paper and string along with a cream string of yarn! You can add a glue dot to a bundle of balloons and make it the string to hold them up or drape them as wall decor!
Table Settings: Paper plates, cups, and napkins featuring pink hues maybe sprinkle along some feathers for some fun table decor.
Backdrop: Place the bundle of balloons and ONE balloon banner together behind the highchair for the perfect photo op. If you have a mantle or table place a Silly Goose book propped up with a Goose plush toy- can be where guests drop of their gifts!
3. The Cake and Snacks
A first birthday party wouldn’t be complete without an adorable cake. Options include:
Goose Cake: A simple round cake topped with a one banner is the perfect minimalist smash cake! (remove topper before the smash!)
"Pond Cookies": Bake or order some cookies that follow the theme of a pond including a goose, lily pad, flowers, and the number one!
